-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Meet Nanners!

Nanners is a shy little guy. Initially, he is fearful of people but warms up if given his space. It takes him a bit to warm up to people but once he does you will see how goofy and charming he can be. Nanners loves being around other dogs; he was in a foster home for a few and became acclimated with both big and small dogs. He bonds strongly to his person and will stay by their side. He has great house manners, he is potty trained, and loves hanging out in his crate where he feels safe. Want to meet this Nanners?
