-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Dog of the Week

Pets of the Week are RON, HARRY, & HERMIONE!!
These darling little chihuahua puppies are so fun and fiesty. How can you not fall in love?  They are wiggley, playful, happy and absolutely love being held. Ron (tan male), Harry (black male), and Hermione (tan female) are 2 months old and you can can come to visit them at DAWG!

    Meet Alfalfa!

Alfalfa is a five-year-old Brussels Griffon mix who is very friendly and full of spunk! He has a tail that never stops wagging and eyes so bright they could light up a room. He is crate trained and house broken, he absolutely loves female dogs, can be a bit selective of other male dogs so a proper introduction would be necessary to other males. All of us here at DAWG are very convinced that there is a human in there, he has those loving eyes that stare deep into your soul! If you want to meet Alfie, please call Dog Adoption and Welfare Group at (805) 681-0561 or visit us today!
