-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Dog of the Week

Pets of the Week are RON, HARRY, & HERMIONE!!
These darling little chihuahua puppies are so fun and fiesty. How can you not fall in love?  They are wiggley, playful, happy and absolutely love being held. Ron (tan male), Harry (black male), and Hermione (tan female) are 2 months old and you can can come to visit them at DAWG!

    Meet Gingerbread!

Gingerbread is a 5 year old Pomeranian who adores attention and being brushed. He is looking for an extra special home that is able to care for his medical needs. Since coming to our facility we have determined that Gingerbread has a pretty severe heart murmur. He would be best suited in a calm, quiet household. Although he loves playing around with the other dogs, his activity level should be kept to a minimum. He’d be a great companion to spend time with in the home and an excellent candidate for fostering.  Can you provide a loving home for this little guy? Call Dog Adoption and Welfare Group at (805) 681-0561 or e-mail us at adopt@sbdawg.org.
