-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Dog of the Week

Pets of the Week are RON, HARRY, & HERMIONE!!
These darling little chihuahua puppies are so fun and fiesty. How can you not fall in love?  They are wiggley, playful, happy and absolutely love being held. Ron (tan male), Harry (black male), and Hermione (tan female) are 2 months old and you can can come to visit them at DAWG!

    Meet Shana!

My name is Shana! I am very small, partially blind and an all-around awesome gal. Because of my age and sight, I’d make a pretty easy dog for someone who wants a constant companion. I am happiest with My best friend Adira the cattle dog, who is also looking for her forever home. We are both pretty easy going pups, low maintenance as a pair.  We like to go for walks, play in yards, and of course Adira likes having a job to do, mostly just hanging out with me. Want to meet me, my best gal Adira, or both of us? Stop by DAWG or give us a call at (805) 681-0561 and learn more about how you can adopt!
