-Dogs from DAWG

  • About DAWG

DAWG provides a safe and loving environment for dogs awaiting permanent adoption, and promotes their adoption through outreach programs in the Santa Barbara community.

Most of the dogs in our care come from Santa Barbara county shelters. Our primary goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county shelters by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.

Since DAWG’s inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs, improving their quality of life during their stay at the shelter, and placing healthy, well-behaved dogs back into the community.

    Dog of the Week

Pets of the Week are RON, HARRY, & HERMIONE!!
These darling little chihuahua puppies are so fun and fiesty. How can you not fall in love?  They are wiggley, playful, happy and absolutely love being held. Ron (tan male), Harry (black male), and Hermione (tan female) are 2 months old and you can can come to visit them at DAWG!

    Meet Gemini!

Gemini is a two year old Husky Mix with a sweet and gentle soul who doesn’t realize that she has a handicap. Gemini was born with some neurological issues which make her hop when she walks; she is also fecal and urinary incontinent but she looks adorable in puppy diapers!  She is very loving and will give you as many kisses as you can handle. Gemini would do well playing outdoors during the day and wearing diapers at night when she comes indoors. She loves playing with other dogs and would be fine in a home with children. A comical, happy, loving dog who adores to romp in the bushes, play with her toys, and bury her bones. If this pretty girl sounds like the perfect companion for you please call Dog Adoption & Welfare Group at (805) 681-0561 or e-mail us at info@sbdawg.org
